Habanero Garlic

zesty spices in their foods. Here are two great habanero appetizer recipes that

“Sweet and Hot Wings”
Prep Time: 10 Min Cook Time: 40 Min Yield: 8 Servings
Ingredients:
- 4 pounds chicken wings, cut into 2 pieces each (flat and drum)
- 2 tablespoon Sun Zen Gourmet Olive Oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 cup frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
- 2 limes, juiced
- 1/3 cup hoisin sauce
- 1/4 cup grated fresh ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons

Directions:
- Preheat oven to
425° F.
- If necessary,
cut whole wings into two pieces. In a bowl, toss the wings with the Sun Zen
Gourmet Olive Oil and salt.
- Place into a
large plastic shopping bag, and add the flour. Shake to coat evenly.
- Remove wings
from the bag, shaking off excess flour, and spread out evenly on oiled
foil-lined baking pans. Do not crowd.
- Bake for about
20 minutes, turn the wings over, and cook another 20 minutes, or until the
wings are cooked through and browned.
- While the wings
are baking, mix all the rest of the ingredients for the sauce in a pan. Over
low heat, bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally until thickens, and then
turn off.
- After the wings are
cooked, transfer to a large mixing bowl. Pour the sauce over the hot wings and
toss with a spoon or spatula to completely coat.
- Place on party
platter and serve hot.

Ingredients:
- 1 (8 ounce) can plain tomato sauce
- 1 medium green pepper, coarsely chopped
- 1 habanero pepper, seeded and coarsely chopped
- 3 medium tomatoes, coarsely chopped
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 stalk celery, coarsely chopped
- ¼ cup black olives, coarsely chopped
- ¼ cup cilantro, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons Sun
Zen Habanero Garlic Pepper Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt, to taste
Directions:
- Finely chop and
combine all fresh ingredients. Add salt, Sun Zen Habanero Garlic Pepper,
oregano and tomato sauce. Mix well.
- Serve with bagel
or tortilla chips.
